Temecula student earns $100,000 scholarship for computer science

For many students, the idea of paying for college produces dread. With the cost of attendance as well as housing, textbooks and meal plans at an all-time high, prospective undergraduate students struggle to decide if their advanced degrees are worth the student loans they require.

One student’s academic performance guaranteed that she will be more at ease when deciding where to go to school, however, as Chaparral High School senior Michelle Gunawan received the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Medal and scholarship, which is granted to students across the country.
