10 cannabis facilities win approval by Lake Elsinore City Council

Lake Elsinore City Councilman Daryl Hickman thanks state Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez who presented him with a plaque recognizing him for his 17 years of service to the city during the city's Dec. 11 city council meeting.

Lake Elsinore City Council with Mayor Pro Tem Steve Manos recusing himself approved the conditional use permits and development plans for 10 cannabis facilities with over 100,000-square-feet of space in the city.

The 4-0 votes for each of the facilities that will be growing, distributing, testing and selling of medical and recreational cannabis in existing buildings, came during almost two-hours of public hearings and council discussion. Manos recused himself due to related real estate interests.
