Paul Jay Price of Canyon Lake receives a proclamation from the Riverside County Board of Supervisors in honor of his 50 years of volunteering and working as an archaeologist.

Canyon Lake resident Paul Jay Price received a proclamation from the Riverside County Board of Supervisors for his 50 years of volunteerism and professionalism as an archaeologist recently.

Price said he has experienced a fair share of beauty and tragedy in his 50 years as an archaeologist.

His work has tackled preserving cultural artifacts, ensuring developers follow state preservation guidelines and collecting natural objects. Price has given lectures and speeches about preservation and historical background to the community. He also has extensive experience working with builders to det...
