County Animal Control performs sweep following dog attack on Anza woman

A dog attack spurred Riverside County Department of Animal Services to conduct a sweep, searching for stray dogs and violations in Anza Wednesday, Dec. 19.

"We did a sweep in the Anza area with a team of eight Animal Control officers and two licensing officers," county Animal Services Chief John Welsh said. "Although the sweep resulted in low numbers – four stray dog impounds, seven citations – we believed the strong presence was warranted in light of this past weekend's severe attack on a woman at her own property.
