Ramona Humane Society wins San Jacinto animal sheltering contract for 3 more years

San Jacinto Councilwoman Crystal Ruiz presents a recognition certificate to 14-year-old Ezequiel Pelayo Tuesday, Dec. 18, from San Jacinto's Boxing for Christ club. Pelayo won the U.S.A. Boxing Silver Gloves district boxing championship recently in Carson, Nevada.

San Jacinto City Council, following lengthy discussion and presentations by the two area animal shelters, awarded Ramona Humane Society's animal shelter another three-year contract with a stipulation that it will offer lower income families lower adoption and licensing costs and provide expanded drop off services.

The Ramona animal shelter, under the direction of the Ramona Humane Society, located at 690 Humane Way in San Jacinto has been handling animal control field and sheltering services in San Jacinto and Hemet for more than a decade.
