San Jacinto welcomes new council member and names the city's new mayor, mayor pro tem

San Jacinto City Council member Alonso Ledezma takes the oath of office promising to serve the city for another four years. Ledezma takes his third term in office after winning the last election.

San Jacinto City Council welcomed a new member to its dais, praised a retiring city councilman and announced the addition of a new canine police officer to the city police department in its Tuesday, Dec. 18, regular meeting.

Council chambers at the San Jacinto Community Center was filled with council family members and others who witnessed the swearing in of new council member Joel Lopez who is replacing retiring council member and former Mayor Scott Miller. Veteran councilman Alonso Ledezma took the oath of office for another four years after winning his third election to the seat.
