Cottonwood School spelling bee sees 35 students compete

Cottonwood School in Aguanga elementary and middle school saw 35 students participate in the school's spelling bee Tuesday, Dec. 18. 

Organized by Language Arts teacher Charles Avilez, the annual event proceeded through multiple rounds of progressively more difficult words until a final champion from each school level was crowned. David Phillips, Carine Laurin, Emily Miller, Sacha Hope and Trond Hildahl assisted Avilez with judging and directing the event.
