As the sun sets on the Peltzer Ice Rink, the skating action picks up.

With winter in full swing, many locals decided that weather dipping into the 50s and 60s wasn't enough – they needed to find some time on the ice – and they found it at Peltzer Farms in Temecula Wine Country.

Photographer Michael Bays was there to capture all the fun as experts glided and beginners tooled around the 100-foot by 65-foot real ice rink that will stay open daily and nightly through Jan. 6.

In addition to ice skating, visitors can purchase kettle corn, hot cocoa and s'mores. The Blacksmith Bar will be open for alcoholic drinks from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.

Admission includes a pair of skates and costs $15 for adults and $11 for children ages 5 and younger, with adult admission. Peltzer Winery Crush Club members get a $2 discount off the regular adult prices.

But what if someone has their own skates? They also get a $2 discount off the prices listed above.

The Peltzer Ice Rink is at 40275 Calle Contento, in Temecula. Visit http://www.peltzerwinery.com for more information.
