It's all about saving the "S"

Daniel and Darrel Silvas are the winning golf team of the fundraising event to keep the "S" on the San Jacinto foothills lit.

SAN JACINTO – Spearheaded by the Ward Family, one of the oldest families in the Valley, a whole group of people came together at the Golden Era Golf Course to raise funds to keep the "S" tradition alive on the San Jacinto foothills. Family and friends filled the course with a full field of golfers to support this great cause.

"The 'S' needs a lot more work so that it will be more visible to the whole community," John Ward said.

To answer the demand, they have made an annual event with the top award being a specially handmade plaque with an "S" that lights up.
