One dead, three injured in Murrieta crash

MURRIETA - One woman was killed and two adult women and a juvenile were injured in an injury traffic collision at around 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 at Whitewood and Baxter roads in Murrieta, according to the Murrieta Police Department.

Dianna Ray, 63, of Homeland was a passenger in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two adult females and the juvenile were transported to local hospitals with various injuries, one of the females sustained serious injuries.

The intersection of Whitewood and Baxter roads were closed to through traffic for approximately four hours. The intersection was closed again from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 for investigative purposes.

The collision is still under investigation. Anyone that may have witnessed the collision is asked to call Murrieta Police Department's Sergeant Sandra O'Donnell at (951) 461-6369.
