Swanson takes the gavel, council approves decision packets for Measure AA

The Jan. 9 meeting of the Wildomar City Council began with 2018 Mayor Ben J. Benoit passing the gavel to Marsha Swanson, who will serve as mayor for 2019.

“What can I say, what a year it’s been, what all you give to this city is unreal,” Swanson said. “He has done an absolutely awesome job for our city.”

Benoit returned the favor, showing confidence in the new mayor.

Marsha Swanson's credentials as a bright civic leader in SWRC are well established. Wildomar has no problem with quality of leadership. The problem lies in trying to compete commercially with Temecula, the long-time powerhouse in this corner of the world; and Murrieta, which is quietly on the verge of unleashing it's freeway confluence (the I15, I215 junction) commercial advantage in laying siege to Temecula's expense-burdened financial fortress.
