Dozens of business owners and hundreds of guests attend the all chamber Murrieta Mega Mixer networking event, Jan. 17.

The ninth annual Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce All Chamber Mega Mixer was well attended Thursday, Jan. 17, at the old Party City location in Murrieta, despite nasty weather that drenched all of Riverside County.

More than 75 businesses and organizations were in attendance at the popular event, sharing information about products and services in the Temecula Valley.

"I like coming to these events because I get to meet everybody in the community, and I know everybody in the community, so it's kind of nice to reconnect with all my business associates, colleagues," Ashlee Collins, marketing coordinator of Southwest Healthcare System, said. "(The mixer) has been really great. We've actually given out a lot of things and talked to a lot of people about the different services that we offer in the valley."

Nonprofit and for-profit organizations alike were able to get across their message and even hand out a few samples, such as the case with Which Which Sandwiches in Murrieta.

Lake Elsinore Storm mascot Thunder arrives at the Murrieta Mega Mixer networking event.

"It's terrific. I make a lot of contacts; I get a lot of catering leads. I get customers to come that have never been," owner Sandy Word said. "So, it's very exciting. I love coming to this event. It's my favorite event of the whole year."

Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce CEO Patrick Ellis said he loves hosting the event for two reasons.

"One is it gets us an opportunity to work with a lot of our neighboring chambers – Temecula, Menifee, Corona, Moreno Valley, Fallbrook, Bonsall – all the neighboring chambers," he said. "The second reason is it brings thousands of people together over a three hour period to network, to reconnect, to make new connections. Whether it's business to customer, business to business, whatever it might be.

"On those two levels, it's just absolutely fantastic," Ellis said.
