TEMECULA - Two people were transported by ambulance in serious condition after being hit by a truck who didn't see them in the Morgan Hill area of Temecula at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23.

The California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Lassig reported that Dorothy E. Porcaro, 61, was driving her 2017 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Morgan Hills Drive, making a left turn onto westbound Madigan Street.

Pocaro did not see Michael T. Quoc Pham, 51, and Ynhi Trang, 49, who were walking northbound across Madigan Street within the marked crosswalk along the west side of the intersection with Morgan Hills Drive and struck both of them with her vehicle.

After the impact, both Pham and Trang sustained major injuries and were transported to Inland Valley Medical Center. Porcaro remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Officer Lassig suggested that anyone who may have witnessed the accident contact the CHP at (951) 506-2000 during business hours.
