Wildomar burglary investigation nets four arrests

Jason Norton, Jon Kelly, Jeffery Johnson and Julie Gotte were all arrested during the service of a search warrant on Wednesday, Jan. 23.

WILDOMAR - A burglary investigation on Jan. 10 resulted in a Wednesday, Jan. 23 search warrant which resulted in the detaining of five suspects and the arrest of four on a variety of burglary, weapons and drug charges.

According to the Wildomar Police Department, the burglary investigation involving the theft of computer equipment and drones revealed the main suspect as Jon Kelly, 31, of Wildomar. Wildomar Police Department and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department SWAT Team served a search warrant at in the 22100 block of Windtree Avenue in Wildomar, to locate the stolen property and arrest Kelly.

During the service of the warrant, Kelly, along with Jeffery Johnson, 66; Jason Norton, 44; Julie Gotte, 51; and Jamie Gotte, 32, were detained and officers recovered two drones, four firearms, 425 rounds of live ammunition, a prohibited stun weapon, 14.8 grams of methamphetamine, .8 grams of heroin, nine grams of marijuana, and stolen mail items.

Kelly was arrested for burglary and possession of a high capacity magazine and Johnson was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm while possessing a controlled substance, possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of methamphetamine and heroin. Norton was arrested for possession of a prohibited weapon, and a violation of the terms of his Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) and Julie Gotte was for possession of heroin.

All were booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta.
