MENIFEE - Authorities identified a passenger who was killed in a crash on Sunday, Jan. 27 in Menifee involving an allegedly impaired driver.

Cindy Oropeza Soto, 25, of Hemet was fatally injured Sunday morning in the rollover wreck on Domenigoni Parkway, just east of Lindenberger Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Soto was in the front passenger seat of a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Hemet resident David Rostrosolis, who was eastbound on Domenigoni about 4:30 a.m. when he allegedly nodded off at the wheel, according to the sheriff's department. The vehicle veered into the center median of the four-lane corridor and rolled over at least once, investigators said.

Soto was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Inland Valley Regional Medical Center in Wildomar, where she died about four hours later, according to the coroner's office.

Deputies determined that Rostrosolis, who was not injured, was allegedly driving under the influence and arrested him on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. He posted a $75,000 bond within a few hours and was released from the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta.

Rostrosolis has no documented prior felony convictions in Riverside County.
