Area golfers tee it up in PGA Tour's Desert Classic

Lake Elsinore's Aaron Wise shot a second round 70 at the Desert Classic on the PGA West's Nicklaus Tournament course Friday, Jan. 18.

The 60th edition of the Desert Classic, presented by Workday, took place last weekend in La Quinta, featuring top golfers from all over the world and from right here in our own backyard. Formerly known as the CareerBuilder Challenge, Palm Springs Golf Classic, the Bob Hope Desert Classic, the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and the Humana Challenge, the Desert Classic is a professional golf tournament in Southern California on the PGA Tour.
