The Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association couldn't have picked a better weekend to host its annual Barrel Tasting Event Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 26-27, in Temecula Wine Country.

With temperatures in the low-70s with a warm breeze, attendees shuttled between the more than 30 wineries that participated in the event by offering barrel tastings of some of their finest wines. The wineries offered food pairings to partner with the wines, as well.

Thousands purchased tickets to visit participating wineries which were split up over two days, meaning guests could visit roughly 18 wineries Saturday and 18 more Sunday.
