Pinnacle Restaurant announces Valentine's Day Wine Dinner and Lunch Special

TEMECULA – The Pinnacle Restaurant at Falkner Winery will host a romantic evening Feb. 14, with a four-course Valentine's Day Wine Dinner in their award-winning restaurant in Temecula. The dinner will include individual wine pairings of the Falkner's best wines with each course in their panoramic, hill-top location. The dinner will also include live entertainment. All food will be prepared under the direction of Executive Chef Jason Barradas. Reservations are available for seating from 6-9:30 p.m. with a special "early bird" seating at 5:30 p.m.

The meal will begin with a glass of sparkling wine and an appetizer of seared scallop with lemon garlic sauce and blistered baby heirloom tomatoes paired with the gold-medal winning, "90 Point" rated Falkner 2017 Sauvignon Blanc. The second course will be a choice of spinach salad with sliced pears, pecans, chopped pork belly and blue cheese tossed in pomegranate dressing served with a glass of gold-medal winning 2016 Riesling or duck confit stuffed conchiglie with duck stuffed in a pasta shell with herbed ricotta cheese and house marinara paired with the gold-medal winning, best of class, "90 Point Wine Enthusiast" rated Falkner 2015 Amante-Super Tuscan Red wine. The entree choices are charbroiled Angus Beef filet mignon served with potato puree, roasted cipollini onions, sauteed asparagus and Falkner Amante red wine sauce paired with gold-medal winning "90 Point" rated 2015 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon wine or seasoned and seared Chilean sea bass with roasted fingerling potatoes, chorizo and braised baby fennel paired with the double gold-medal winning, best of class, "94 Point" rated Falkner 2017 Chardonnay. Finally, the dessert is a red wine chocolate cake with strawberry frosting and red wine chocolate ganache sauce paired with silver-medal winning 2013 Port. The price is $109 per person plus tax for the 5:30 p.m. seating and $129 per person plus tax for reservations after 5:30 p.m. Special pricing for Food and Wine club members, spouse and their guests will be $99 per person plus tax at 5:30 p.m. and $119 or more per person for all other reservation times. Seating will be limited; call for reservations. Because of the high demand, there will be a 48-hour cancellation notice in effect in order to avoid being charged a late cancellation fee.

Additionally, from Feb. 14 through Feb. 17, there will also be a Valentine's Day Lunch Special in the Pinnacle Restaurant. For $65 plus tax and gratuity for two people, diners will be able to have either one shared appetizer or salad for two; a choice of individual entrees such as shrimp pasta with lobster sauce with asparagus, baby heirloom tomatoes and fresh basil on linguini or charbroiled center cut sirloin served with roasted mixed marble potatoes, grilled asparagus and a Falkner Amante wine demi-glace and a shared dessert of either Kahlua toffee chocolate cake with whipped cream and white chocolate creme anglaise with raspberry sauce or a cookies and cream cheesecake with whipped cream and caramel malt pearls. Selected wines will be offered as an option with the special at $7 per glass. The special will be available in addition to the normal menu.
