Metrolink sued over Lake Elsinore man's death

The widow of a Lake Elsinore man who was killed after being hit by a Metrolink train in 2018 in Dana Point is suing the rail authority, alleging the engineer failed to keep a proper lookout and did not sound his horn.

Jacqueline Gibson’s Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit, filed Tuesday, Jan. 29, alleges negligence and wrongful death. She seeks unspecified damages.

Engineer Richard Bernard Wingfield also is named as a defendant.
