Research finds financial stakes higher for Californians in retirement

NEW YORK – Do retirees in California have to spend more than retirees in other states? Global Atlantic, a financial assistance company, in a recent survey suggested they do.

The international firm recently published their national retirement research findings showing retirees living in California spend 28 percent more than the average retiree in the U.S. who spends $2,008 a month. A California retiree, according to the research, spends $2,575 per month.
