Destructive rains wreak havoc in Anza, surrounding communities

The Valentine’s Day torrential rains will not soon be forgotten. The heavens opened up Thursday, Feb. 14, and the mountain communities drowned in between 3 and 10 inches of rain in approximately a 24-hour period. 

Flash flood notifications buzzed cell phones, TVs and radios during the day, but despite the warnings, tragedy struck as the flooding became more severe.
