Temecula Valley Hospital receives cardiology accreditation

TEMECULA – The American College of Cardiology recognized Temecula Valley Hospital for its expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain. Temecula Valley Hospital was recently awarded chest pain center accreditation with primary PCI and resuscitation based on a rigorous onsite evaluation of the staff’s ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who may be experiencing a heart attack.

Some years back, Scripps was interested in establishing a foothold in the Murrieta/Temecula Valley area. It would have been their first major medical facility presence outside of San Diego County, ever. And that institutional luminary in the world of medicine already has just about every cardiology-related laurel that exists, along with a matching staff of famed cardiologists. (Among many other specialties.) I have reason to suspect some local politics got in the way. But I hope not.
