Riders at Charis Equestrian wear red in honor of American Heart Association's National Wear Red Day.

TEMECULA – Charis Equestrian, a horseback riding, training and equestrian boarding facility in the Temecula Valley, went red in honor of National Wear Red Day and the American Heart Association. Each year on the first Friday of February, the American Heart Association challenges the nation to wear red to support women's heart health.

According to the American Heart Association, "Cardiovascular disease in the U.S. kill approximately one woman every 80 seconds. The good news is that 80 percent of cardiac events may be prevented with education and lifestyle changes."
