Woman missing in Menifee, suffers from early stages of dementia

The Menifee Police Department announced via social media channels that Vasquez has been located. No further information was made available.

MENIFEE - A 77-year-old woman who is diabetic and diagnosed with the early stages of dementia was missing in Menifee.

Jennie Vasquez was last seen at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday leaving a bank near the intersection of Sun City and McCall boulevards in Sun City in a white Toyota Tacoma pickup with a diamond-plated tool box in the bed of the truck and California license plate DPX8074, according to Sgt. Curt Harris of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Vasquez's family returned home around 4:30 p.m. and discovered she was missing and called the sheriff's department.

Vazquez is Hispanic, 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 135 pounds with brown hair. She was last seen wearing a white short-sleeved shirt, blue shorts and flip flops, Harris said.

Vazquez did not have a cellphone, credit cards, identification or medication with her when she left home, her family told authorities.
