Facebook funding campaign begins for local vet who rescues trapped vehicles

The winter rains and snowstorms have brought chaos to the Anza Valley. But amid the destruction caused by huge amounts of precipitation sweeping away roadways, creating impassable ravines, icing the highways and washing out low water crossings, certain people came out in the foulest weather to help others. One of these people was local disabled veteran Sgt. William Hamlett.

With limited mobility due to wartime injuries and post traumatic stress disorder, Hamlett went out amid the storms and assisted with the recoveries of over eight vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs and dump, propane...
