Mudfest gets down and dirty in Anza

Pressure washing machines are at the ready at the Wellman Road Off-road Park's Mudfest.

The torrential rains, Thursday, Feb. 14, and into Friday, Feb. 15, put a slight damper on the competition at the Wellman Road Off-road Park's annual Mudfest, but the event was not called off. Saturday, Feb. 16, saw the track open and vehicles attempting the treacherous course.

"Due to bad weather, we had a large number of cancellations by racers that had to drive a long distance, so the competition side of Mudfest was postponed until later date with better weather," organizer Johnathan Schmidt said.
