Murrieta approves request to provide dispatch services to Menifee

At the Tuesday, Feb. 19, meeting of the Murrieta City Council, the council unanimously authorized city staff to start negotiations with Menifee and its request for Murrieta to provide police dispatch services for Menifee’s planned municipal police force.

Murrieta police Chief Sean Hadden provided a report to the council before the vote.

As soon as I started reading this article, two questions crossed my mind. Councilman Ingram, a few sentences later, asked one of those questions. That was good. But the other question is a tad more convoluted, involving some future obscure (hard to foresee) entanglements with Menifee law enforcement regarding a tax revenue neutral (negative) medical & related business presence, within Murrieta, which is oddly positioned for Murrieta's future economic and policing efficiency purposes.
