Smoke & Vine: An Evening of Cigars and Wine features Lorimar Winery's award-winning wines paired with cigars and a four-course meal.

Sure, tasting wine in Temecula Wine Country is activity enough for some people. But why not throw an added activity into the mix to keep the blood pumping and the wine flowing?

That's why Valley News has hand-picked fun things to do this weekend in wine country that all involve wine but also include activities or events that will bring a smile to anyone's face.

Smoke & Vine: An Evening of Cigars and Wine

Many people would agree, kicking back with a glass of fine wine and an expertly paired cigar after enjoying a four-course dinner on a Friday night sounds pretty darn good right about now, doesn't it?

Lorimar Winery's got your back. Cigar aficionados are not going to want to miss this special event featuring Casa Lovo cigars from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 8.

Tickets are $85 for general admission and $76.50 for wine club members, and they can be purchased at https://shop.lorimarwinery.com.

Make sure to get tickets early as space is limited. This is a 21 and older event, and advanced reservations are required.

Lorimar Winery is at 39990 Anza Road in Temecula.

Comedy Night at Europa Village

Drink enough wine and almost anyone can be funny. At least they think they are.

Fortunately, comedians Mark Christopher Lawrence and Andrew Tarr actually are funny, and they will be performing a night of comedy Friday, March 8, at Europa Village.

Lawrence is well-known for his role as Big Mike on the NBC hit series "Chuck" and has appeared on many hit television shows including "Glee," "Heroes," "Seinfeld," "My Name is Earl" and "Martin." He regularly headlines comedy shows around the country.

And guess what? Europa Village will feed guests as well for the price of a ticket – $55 per person and Societe members get a discount when they log in to their accounts.

Dinner will feature beef bourguignon, bacon, mushroom, pearl onion and sweet peas, egg noodles, strawberry-rhubarb streusel cobbler and one glass of pre-selected wine.

Tickets are available at https://shop.europavillage.com.

Comedy Night runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8 and Europa Village is at 33475 La Serena Way in Temecula.

To kick things off, The Walt Disney Pictures film, "Moana," will be shown, and it's rated PG so the whole family can come. The movie begins at 7 p.m., and popcorn, wood-fired pizza, cupcakes and snacks will be available for purchase.

Bring lawn chairs and blankets, and free parking will be available.

Oh yeah, there will be wine, of course, for the adults.
