Inaugural 'Light It Up Yellow & Blue' presented by the city of Temecula for Down Syndrome Awareness Day

TEMECULA ─ World Down Syndrome Day is observed annually March 21. This day was chosen to symbolize the third copy of chromosome 21 in Trisomy 21, the most common form.

The city of Temecula will “Light it Up Yellow & Blue” in recognition of Down Syndrome Awareness at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at City Hall, 41000 Main Street. At the early evening gathering, individuals and families with Down syndrome participate in activities and events to raise public awareness and create a single global voice for advocating for the inclusion of people with Down syndrome.
