Seven arrested during serving of search warrant in Menifee

Ashley Bertelson, James Ellis, Anthony Larner, Chris Rutledge, Lucas Rutledge, Crystal Skroch, and Jeremie Talbot were arrested on Thursday, March 7.

MENIFEE - Seven people were arrested after the Menifee Special Enforcement Team (SET) served a warrant at a Menifee residence on Thursday, March 7 and they were found to be in possession of loaded firearms and controlled substances.

With assistance from Perris SET, Gang Task Force Region 6, Lake Elsinore Problem Oriented Policing, and Riverside Auto Theft & Interdiction Detail, the team served a search warrant in the 26000 block of Byers Road in Menifee.

After making contact with Lucas Rutledge, 37, he was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and suspected methamphetamine, along with five additional firearms located on the property. Rutledge was arrested for possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance while armed, and under the influence of methamphetamine while armed.

Chris Rutledge, 41, of Menifee, was also arrested for possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, and violation of probation. Other individuals who were detained on the property were found to have outstanding warrants for their arrests for various charges.

Jeremie Talbot, 29, and Anthony Larner, 41, of Menifee; James Ellis, 40, from Banning; Crystal Skroch, 35, from Wildomar; and Ashley Bertelson, 36, from Temecula were arrested and booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center.
