Fight at Great Oak High School causes major disturbance

A fight Thursday, March 7, between two Great Oak High School students escalated to involve multiple students and resulted in injuries to three students and two campus supervisors, causing school officials to cut the lunch period short to clear the campus, according to an email sent to parents by Principal Aimee Ricken.

According to Ricken’s email, the pre-planned fight between the two students quickly began to involve more students who joined in the fight and became surrounded by hundreds of students, watching and filming the fight.
