Delayed Phase 2 McSweeny Farms development improvements win new CFD agreement

The Hemet City Council approved a revised construction funding and acquisition agreement for needed infrastructure improvements to help restart Phase 2 of the huge 1,640-home McSweeny Farms Community development in south Hemet.

The McSweeny Farms Specific Plan was originally approved by the city in 2003 allowing for the construction of up to 1,640 homes, three neighborhood parks, a clubhouse and pool facility, an elementary school, 12-acre commercial site, 100 acres of open space with connecting paseos, bike paths, equestrian trails and pedestrian walkways.
