Farming at the forefront of Leoness Cellars

Mike Rennie stands next to a 1941 tractor that his partner, Gary Winder, grew up driving that overlooks Leoness Cellars on the De Portola Wine Trail in Temecula Wine Country.

First and foremost, Mike Rennie said farming is the beating heart that drives Leoness Cellars.

"We're basically a farming family and my partner, Gary Winder, and I have been longtime gardeners and farmers," Rennie, Leoness Cellars co-founder and owner, said. "Our wives are very close. Our children have been raised in farming families. We own a Stage Ranch Farm Management, which is our farming company."

When Winder founded the Stage Ranch back in 1972 and Rennie joined him sometime later, farming and growing was all they were concerned with doing.
