Living Hope Christian Fellowship of the Anza Valley presented a live charity auction Sunday, March 17, at the Community Center in Anza. The fundraiser was held to collect donations to buy farmland for a Ugandan orphanage.

The auction raised $1,949 for the cause.

"I was incredibly moved by the generosity of local businesses and my church family," Steve Gardner said. "Many people were buying items to give to others. So in the end, it was giving upon giving, and the end result is that the total purchase price of the land was covered and then some and God was glorified. Soli Deo Gloria."
