SAN JACINTO - The Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) Child Development and Education Center will host a Day of the Young Child Celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, in the quad area at the San Jacinto Campus.

The annual free event celebrates young children (up to age 8), their families, early childhood educators and the community.

"The purpose is to bring attention to the community about the needs of young children and families," said Nancy Alvarado, MSJC Child Development and Education Center Site Supervisor. "It is also to recognize the early childhood programs and services available to meet the needs of the whole family."

Hands-on activities for children, entertainment, food, resources to encourage healthy living and much more will be offered.

The event is being sponsored by First 5 Riverside, V.I.P. TOTS, Riverside University Health System, Lakeshore, IEHP, Consortium, Altura and Hope Collaborative.

The community is welcome to join at this wonderful free event.
