'Super Bloom' plan goes smoothly, despite hourlong wait times

Lake Elsinore city officials said that despite two days of crowds wanting to get a glimpse of the “Super Bloom” in Lake Elsinore, and at least an hourlong wait to ride the shuttle to the colorful poppy fields and another hour to return, the city’s plan to mitigate traffic on Interstate 15 and Lake Street worked as planned.

Thousands of tickets were purchased for the shuttle out to where the wildflowers were blanketing the Gavilan Hills in eastern Lake Elsinore, Lake Elsinore spokeswoman Nicole Daily said.
