Cancer treatments can cause much chaos in the human body, which seems to create fear when it comes to exercise and cancer, including several myths to be dispelled and exercise benefits to be explained. Some of the effects include physical debilitation, increase risk of osteoporosis and loss of bone mineral density, increased risk of lymphedema – swelling of the arm or leg after lymph nodes are removed, increased fatigue, muscle weakness and loss of lean body mass and decreased quality of life.
