Inland Empire tops national average in property tax obligations

The Inland Empire was among areas of the country where property tax payments for single-family homes exceeded the national average in 2018, according to data published by a real estate tracking firm.

Attom Data Solutions released its 2018 Property Tax Analysis, showing that last year, the average property taxes for a single-family dwelling nationwide was $3,498, up 3% from 2017, when the average stood at $3,399.

The Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario metropolitan area’s average residential property tax liability went up 5%, according to figures.
