What to do when dogs attack

In bite work competitions, the dog is encouraged to get excited and to bite solidly, but the man is protected from harm by a thick suit.

Dogs are man's best friend and one of the world's most popular pets, companions and helpers. But due to their predatory nature, sometimes dogs can feel anxious, be in pain or simply decide their stress level warrants a bite or even a full-fledged attack on a human being.

Canines can become aggressive, especially if they feel threatened or think their territory is being jeopardized. This behavior can come from a variety of causes.

For example, if a chihuahua feels her food bowl is in danger from another dog, cat or even a person, she may bite to defend her prized possession.
