Changes are coming to Valley News

Last updated 4/23/2019 at 10:03am

In an effort to better serve readers in southwest Riverside County, the Valley News will soon undergo a revamping that includes the addition of high-quality news and content in both print products and digital platforms.

Expected changes include the rollout of a new website, new digital products, new subscription options and new logo design that falls more in line with other Reeder Media publications.

Valley News print edition will continue to provide the local and community news, sports, entertainment our readers have come to expect for more than 25 years.

Starting soon, Valley News will begin publishing news from The Associated Press – state, regional, national and world news and more – on our website,

We will also continue to expand news publishing from surrounding regions such as the greater Riverside County, as well as San Diego and Orange counties, provided by news organizations such as City News Service.

Some of that expanded area content will be weaved into the print edition as well, providing our readers with even more valuable and pertinent news and information.

Along with the additions to the Valley News content, we will launch a more cost-effective and flexible subscription service offering digital-only subscriptions and digital and print subscriptions to readers.

Starting at only $5 per month on a recurring payment system, readers will receive full access to all the content on – news, podcasts, blogs and more – as well as breaking news email alerts and a curated daily news email, delivered directly to our subscribers each morning.

The addition of these digital products will provide new, effective and measurable avenues for advertisers seeking to reach hundreds of thousands of potential readers in the area.

With a digital and print product subscription, readers will have access to all of the above and will also receive our newspaper delivered to their homes.

Current subscribers will be grandfathered into their current plan until their subscription contract runs out, and they will be offered an opportunity to opt in to the new subscription system at that time.

Our intent is to provide southwest Riverside County readers with the best news and content available and continue to grow the Valley News platform as the go-to news organization in the region.

We hope readers new and old will continue to recognize the importance of local journalism and continue to support the conversation within our communities, as well as the advertising partners that are valuable members of our family of publications.

We are excited about this endeavor that builds upon our reputation as a trusted source of local and community news and the opportunity to offer new content that is important and informative to our communities.

We look forward to showing you what is next for the Valley News.
