HS Track and Field: Temecula Valley's Ahnyx Bush has record setting week

Temecula Valley sophomore Ahnyx Bush had a personal record in the 100-meter hurdles last week, won a gold medal in the triple jump and set the school record in the long jump with a new personal record of 17.4 feet.

As a sophomore, Ahnyx Bush is a seasoned member of the Temecula Valley High School track and field program in her second year on varsity. During the Golden Bears dual meet Thursday, March 28, she got off to a great start as she attained a personal record in the 100-meter hurdles with a 16.83 and took second place in the fastest heat of the day. At the Willie Banks Invitational, Saturday, March 30, Bush set the school record in the long jump with a new personal record of 17.4 feet, exceeding the record held by Charisma Davis and winning a bronze medal.
