High Country 4-H Club members participate in the "Sprouts for Kids" project at the Anza Swap meet, Saturday, April 13.

The High Country 4-H Club held a planting party Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to noon at the swap meet at the Anza Community Hall to plant seeds in grow trays for Sprouts for Kids. Sprouts for Kids is a service project to reduce childhood hunger in Anza Valley.

Annalisa Vesey, a High Country 4-H Club member, is among 114 youth leaders across the country to receive a grant from the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation and Youth Service America to help end childhood hunger. She organized the event so that youth in Anza could grow the seeds and donate the seedlings to local families in need.
