Volunteers recognized by county supervisors

RIVERSIDE – Riverside County's Board of Supervisors recognized several volunteers recently, including three from the Department of Animal Services.

Animal Services nominates three volunteers annually, representing the department's three largest shelter locations in Jurupa Valley, San Jacinto and Thousand Palms. The 2019 volunteers of the year are Rick Iacovino, representing the Coachella Valley Animal Campus in Thousand Palms; Freddy N. Bommer II, representing the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus and Kelly Vela, representing the Western Riverside County and City Animal Shelter in Jurupa...
