Two suspects arrested for possession of stolen vehicle in Lake Elsinore

Jose Yanez, 41, and Jose Franco, 35, both residents of Wildomar were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.

LAKE ELSINORE - Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station responded to the area of Grand Avenue and Bonnie Way on Thursday, April 25, regarding a report about the location of a stolen vehicle.

Deputies located the vehicle traveling on Lake Street toward Interstate 15 and backup deputies responded to the area as a Sheriff's helicopter hovered overhead.

Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle on Temescal Canyon Road, west of Lake Street and though the driver stopped along the shoulder of Temescal Canyon Road, both occupants fled into the adjacent field.

Riverside County SWAT deputies and K9 units responded to the area to assist with the search for the suspects, eventually locating and apprehending the two men hiding in the thick vegetation.

Jose Yanez, 41, and Jose Franco, 35, both residents of Wildomar were arrested and transported to the Cois Bryd Detention Center for possession of a stolen vehicle.
