T-ball opening ceremonies hit a home run with parents, athletes

Despite the threat of rain, the sun peeked through the clouds at the High Country Recreation's T-ball opening ceremonies Saturday, May 11, at the HCR fields on Mitchell Road in Anza.

Parents and child athletes enjoyed about two hours of assessment and practice play. There were enough registered children to form two teams. Coaches spent one-on-one time with each player, building confidence and honing skills.

HRC board member Adrian Morales obtained new T-shirt uniforms for the players and some additional equipment.
