San Jacinto City Council approves service club signs at 5 locations

The San Jacinto Fire Department's "911 Superstar Award" is awarded to Izabella Peterson by members of San Jacinto's Cal Fire and Riverside County Fire Department for her action in calling 911 to help her mother who was having a medical emergency, Jan. 6. The presentation was made during the May 7 San Jacinto City Council meeting.

Most cities post signs with the logos of all the local service clubs for motorists who drive into town. Now San Jacinto will also have service club signs with the approval of the San Jacinto City Council.

The service club signs are a boost to the nonprofit, community-based service clubs and will soon be posted at five main intersections leading into San Jacinto.

Council, at their May 7, meeting approved the cost of $19,063 to erect the signs at five locations in the city - Sanderson Avenue and the Ramona Expressway, Sanderson Avenue and Esplanade Avenue, Mountain Avenue and Hemet Avenue,...
