Wildomar planning commission seeks to fill vacancy

WILDOMAR – Wildomar is accepting applications for one vacancy on the Planning Commission. This vacancy will be appointed by Councilman Ben J. Benoit. The term of office will run concurrent with Benoit, with said term expiring in November 2022. Planning commissioners are nominated by the appointing council member and must receive a majority ratification of at least three affirmative votes from the entire council. Planning commissioners are appointed at-large and not by district.

Planning commissioners will be expected to make potentially significant time commitments to both learning the job of planning commissioner, as well as regular attendance at planning commission meetings. Regular planning commission meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, starting at 6:30 p.m .; however, there are also special meetings and workshops that could be called as well. Commissioners are paid $75 per meeting attended.

Applicants must meet the requirements. They must be a registered voter at their current address, a resident within the city limits of Wildomar; a resident within the city limits of Wildomar for the year immediately preceding the inception of their term and may not be an employee or officer of Wildomar.
