Hemet, San Jacinto school districts name students of the year

The Hemet San Jacinto Student of the Month Program honors its Students of the Year including Dylan Carter of Tahquitz High; Anaya Crouch of San Jacinto High; Angela Juarez of Western Center Academy; Kirsten Pellegrino of Hamilton High; Mikayla Valdez of Mountain View High and Jadah Zeidan of West Valley High. The program also honors six auxiliary scholarship recipients, including Gabriel Ramirez, the Daniel Lopez Jr. Memorial Scholarship; Jared Cripe, the Cassiopeia "Cassi" Tichy Memorial Scholarship; Jordan Hubbell, the Jennifer Greenwald Memorial Scholarship; Rebeca Solis, the Ella Mae Record Memorial Scholarship and Matthew Eskin, the Sally Myers/Sizzler Scholarship funded by Supervisor Chuck Washington. Not pictured are Student of the Year Elliott Tate of Hemet High and scholarship recipient Tahereh "Maddy" Moghadass, the Dr. Koka Family Medical Scholarship.

Each month from September through March, seniors from San Jacinto Unified School District high schools are singled out for demonstrating character, integrity, love of learning, involvement in school activities, athletics and community service. Students who have overcome challenging life circumstances without compromising their education are among those recognized through the Hemet/San Jacinto Student of the Month Program.
