Police investigating woman's death in Lake Elsinore

LAKE ELSINORE - Riverside County Sheriff’s Department deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff Substation discovered a deceased woman inside a residence in the 400 block of Kellog Street in Lake Elsinore around 4:42 p.m. Sunday, June 2.

Officers were responding to a report of “unknown trouble” at the residence and met with the reporting party before discovering the woman, who had significant trauma inflicted to her body.

The identity of the woman has not been released.

Officers located a second female and called paramedics to evaluate her condition. That victim was transported to a local hospital for a non-life-threatening medical condition. Her identity was also not released.

Investigators from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff Station and the Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded to the scene and the investigation is still ongoing.

There no outstanding suspects in the case.
