All-Southwestern League boys' volleyball teams announced; Murrieta Valley's Hess named MVP

Murrieta Valley junior, Troy Hess (15), earns top honors in the Southwestern League as MVP for the 2019 boys' volleyball season.

The Murrieta Valley High School Nighthawks boys' volleyball program had another tremendously successful year under second-year head coach, Jason Cantu. Not only did Murrieta Valley (28-8) take first place in the Southwestern League with an undefeated 10-0 record, they also competed well through the Division 3 playoffs, falling to Woodbridge High School 3-2 in the quarterfinal round. With so much momentum in boys' volleyball, this year the Southwestern League was able to establish two All-League teams, centered around Murrieta Valley junior Troy Hess.
